Emma McMath Kennedy (b. 1994) is an aspiring art professional currently based in Chicago, Illinois where she is an Art History Ph.D. student at Northwestern University. Originally from the Washington D.C. metro area, Emma attended Mount Holyoke College earning a B.A. in Art History in May 2016. While at Mount Holyoke, she was first introduced to the world of photography through a seminar on photographers Walker Evans and Henri Cartier-Bresson. She has pursued her love of photography through numerous academic and professional projects including curating a selection of vernacular photographs for the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum's 140th Anniversary exhibition. Emma has worked in a variety of different positions at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, The Phillips Collection, The National Museum of African American History and Culture, Aperture magazine, and most recently Prestel Publishing. 

While at Aperture magazine, Emma provided editorial assistance for the following issues: American Destiny (Spring 2017), Platform Africa (Summer 2017), Elements of Style (Fall 2017), and Future Gender (Winter 2017). She also provided assistance on two book projects: Aperture Conversations: 1985 to the Present (May 2018) and Deana Lawson: An Aperture Monograph (September 2018).

At Prestel, Emma provided editorial assistance on the following titles: Get It Together (April 2018), The Thirbly (April 2018), WILD: Adventure Cookbook (US edition) (September 2018), Supersonic: The Design and Lifestyle of the Concorde (September 2018), North Wild Kitchen (October 2018), and Inge Morath: Magnum Legacy (October 2018) in addition to several Prestel/Delmonico Books titles. She also assisted with the following Spring 2019 Prestel titles: NYC Walks: Guide to New Architecture (March 2019), 100 Years, 100 Artworks (April 2019), New Architecture Los Angeles (April 2019), Family: New Vegetarian Comfort Food to Nourish Every Day (April 2019) and 20 Recipes Kids Should Know (April 2019).
